Public Speaking

I used to be a debater but the tournaments always clashes with my robotic tournaments which is why I stepped back. I've missed debating so much. That joyous feeling of arguing in front of people grants me satisfaction. So, this year, I got an offer for a joining a public speaking competition for the Perdana Leadership Foundation open day. I accepted. Unfortunately, the competition is spontaneous and I had to talk in just three minutes. I was hoping to get a topic related to science which is where I'm good at. Worst, it wasn't. It's about abolishing national level examinations. I didn't win though but it went pretty well without nervous. I just talked about how good American education system is which I really praised since in kindergarten. Seriously. If I were the minister of education, I would have changed Malaysia's education system. American education is based on hands-on experience which made us remember better and know how to apply it in life. They also have surprising assessment test anytime they want to analyse how far the students learn. Malaysia? You know when the exam is and get ready. You memorise the textbooks before examination, sit for it, and after that, POOF, everything's gone. Is that what you call learning?
