new zealand: day 7

tired of walking
look at the signboard
today's my last day in new zealand. this morning, i went to hagley park. it's like the hyde park in london. trees, flowers, people jogging and all those stuffs. after that, i rushed to a car boot somewhere in christchurch. for those who don't know what car boot is, let me explain.for americans, car boot is like a garage sale or a yard sale. for malaysians, car boot is like bundle. others out there, car boot is where you sell all your used stuffs that you don't want anymore. ok. enough about that. then, i went to the international antarctic centre. what's there? everything in arctic. once i entered it, i encountered the arctic storm which is a very strong wind with a surrounding temperature -16 degrees celcius! next, there was an exhibit about arctic discoveries, how people get there, what do they do there, bla, bla, bla. after that i went to see penguins. what i can say is they're so adorable. each of the penguins have their own name and surprisingly, the lady that feeds them during feeding time remember all of their names! then, i watched a 4D movie which is all about the arctic. after watching the movie, i went to this military kind of vehicle called hagglund(see pic below). the ride was super duper awesome! the hagglund go up and down, up an down a couple of steep hills, did a drift. drived diagonally(if you know what i mean) and went into a 3 metres deep mud puddle but floated. i rode that thing 3 times! that's the end of my arctic trip. there was still 5 hours before departure. without wasting time, i went shopping. farewell new zealand!
